A return to the clinical physical therapy world –
THE PROCESS
Aches & Pains Sessions
Live Group Workshops
A strong return to a more clinical scenario, I get the opportunity to take 5 runners through a physical therapy visit of sorts.
We will conduct a mini-evaluation for each individual, first learning about each of your aches and pains, how they show up, when, etc. We will then work through some more data collection, gait analysis, and other fact-finding measures as needed. From there, we will cover a foundation of human mechanics, gait, and 3 major events that occur while we run that help us produce speed, efficiency, and stability.
Mini-evaluations, gait assessments, and foundational running mechanics.
From there, we dive into each individual’s scenario, relating their mechanics to the foundational mechanics we just covered, to provide insight and key actionable things for each individual to directly address their situation and make tangible changes that day.
The group dynamics of these workshops opens the doors for each individual to learn from the vantage point of the spotlight,
AND learn from watching and learning from how others work through their own situations.
The fun interactions, conversations, and group discussions that arise from these sessions add that much more benefit, support, and community.
For these sessions, check your email (spam folder perhaps) for the Skype link to join after registering.
You’ll need some space to move around in, perhaps some clothes that will allow for some movement on your feet and down on the floor, about an hour to cover all 5 scenarios, and some time left over at the end for additional questions (usually up to 10-30 additional minutes). If you are a note-taker, then some writing supplies are handy as well.
