FAQ

Home FAQ
Are these services designed to fix my problems?
Long Answer: These products are designed to have you participate in an active exploratory process looking to evoke thought, questions and feed a growing awareness – equipping clients with appropriate tools and guidance, giving them the opportunity to assume their empowered role and create opportunities of change for themselves. Ultimately I can not be responsible for getting a client to change a habit, learn a skill or make any decisions.

Short Answer: No.

I run but am also interested in sports performance which do I sign up for? Can I sign up for both?
Long Answer: They are very similar. Runner’s Coaching product addresses both the specific coaching and education of the skill or running and also equips runner’s with tools of sports performance for movement efficiency, increased power output and injury reduction.

The Sports Performance product teaches principles of human movement (which is similar to but does not necessarily cover many details as the Running product) and equips athletes with tools of sports performance for movement efficiency, increased power output and injury reduction. Sign up for the one that best suits you.

Short Answer: Pick one. We will tailor the product to best fit your needs regardless.

Why do you do this? What is in it for you?
Long Answer: I love to learn. I love to teach. The teaching and discussions, the ah-ha’s, light bulbs and movement excite me. My natural direction is to read, learn, write and keep most of it in my head and on paper. Turning outward and sharing with people actually generates that life-giving energy for me.

Short Answer: It’s healthier for me to share these wisdoms. And it pays the bills.

What happens if I need to change my appointment time/date?
Long Answer: We can reschedule no problem with at least 48-hour notice.

A reschedule fee will be assessed on a case by case basis if notice is given within 48-hours of the scheduled session. If a session is missed without any notice the session can not be reclaimed and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Short Answer: We will work it out.

Is physical therapy offered? Will the Runner’s Coaching or Sports Performance treat my injury?
Long Answer: The Process does not currently provide physical therapy/rehabilitative services (though rehabilitation is a part of the business name). The Process is focusing on the generative forward progress of Sports Performance and Runner’s Coaching – working with an athlete at their current level and expanding their capabilities; instead of focusing on the retroactive work of rehabilitative services, needing to repair to return to baseline. In order to provide rehabilitative services,The Process would have to participate with the health care system which inherently adds levels of complexity to the experience – from scheduling to delivery of service, to communication complications with physician offices.

Short Answer: No.

How do I pay?
Long Answer: The sign up process will take you through choosing sessions, packages, dates and times, filling out contact info, paperwork and you will then be prompted to click the pay button which will take you to paypal.com where you will  use a paypal account or credit card to pay.

Short Answer: Credit Card.

How long are sessions?
Long Answer: Session times vary depending on the service you choose. Sometimes they last a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter depending on what best fits the situation.

Short Answer: As long as they need to be.

How do I start my session? who calls who?
Long Answer: Be prepared ahead of time by downloading the Skype app on your phone or computer. When it is your time I will contact you. Understanding that like an office the appointment previous to yours may run a few minutes longer. I may be starting your appointment a few minutes late. We ask for patience in those situations with the understanding that you would also be provided the extra time to best fit your needs as well.

Short Answer: Download the Skype app ahead of time. Email me your username. I will contact you to start the session.

What should I expect with consulting/coaching?
Long Answer: Expect an experience. Each client brings individual characteristics and interests that make each consulting experience unique. It is a participatory experience; dependent upon both parties actively engaging the process. The more a client invests the more the experience can be. We are on the same team, working with each other creating these opportunities – to learn, grow, to see differently, redefine. Active engagement includes introspective responses to questions, handling difficult questions, mirroring, vulnerability – all calling for effort to engage and invest in yourself.

Short Answer: Talking. Quiet times to think. Learning. You get out what you put in.
